Basketball Recap: McFarland Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when McFarland took on Pioneer Valley on Friday. The McFarland Cougars were outmatched by the Pioneer Valley Panthers and fell 68-35. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 49-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mia Samaniego was McFarland's leading scorer, having posted 16 points. Samaniego also led the team in rebounds with 11.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pioneer Valley, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.
