Basketball Recap: 12 Straight Home Wins for Choctaw

Choctaw waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-51 W against the Norman Tigers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Yellowjackets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Tigers are ranked fifth).

Choctaw's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for Norman, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Coming up, Choctaw will head out on the road to challenge Moore at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Choctaw is facing Moore at the right time seeing as Moore is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Norman, they will face off against Norman North at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
