Soccer Game Preview: Shepard vs. Oak Forest

The Shepard Astros will head out to face off against the Oak Forest Bengals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Shepard is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Meteors. The loss continues a trend for Shepard in their meetings with Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Oak Forest was able to grind out a solid victory over Evergreen Park on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Oak Forest.

The win got Oak Forest back to even at 6-6-2. As for Shepard, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1.
