Recap: Pacheco Panthers vs. Ceres Bulldogs
The Pacheco Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-36 to Ceres. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pacheco of the 51-38 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 9th.
Despite the loss, Pacheco still got an impressive performance from Sasha S siemiller, who scored 18 points along with eight steals. S siemiller has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan San pedro, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Leading Ceres to victory were Sovannary Carter and Marissa Renteria. Carter scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, while Renteria scored 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Pacheco's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Ceres, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Pacheco will head out on the road to face off against Grace Davis at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Davis has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 8. As for Ceres, they will be playing at home against Johansen at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday.
