It was a good run, but Washington unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Carlisle Wildcats, falling 11-3.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Carlisle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Washington will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Pleasant at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carlisle, they have already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Albia on the 21st.
