Softball Recap: Walton Has No Trouble Against North Springs

After only two runs in their last game, Walton made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Springs on Tuesday. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Spartans. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won five in a row.

Nikoletta Bardwell looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reagan Sexton, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Julianna McNeeley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Walton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Springs only posted an OBP of .333.

The win got Walton back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Walton will challenge Pope at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North Springs, they will square off against Roswell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
