Softball Recap: McIntosh Comes Up Short

McIntosh managed to slip by Ola the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chiefs lost 8-1 to the Mustangs on Wednesday. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for McIntosh and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Ola, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McIntosh will take on Lovejoy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season. As for Ola, they will face off against Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
