Soccer Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Pumas it sure didn't stay that way.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Murrieta Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Chaparral will take on Murrieta Mesa at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Chaparral is facing Murrieta Mesa at the right time seeing as Murrieta Mesa is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Murrieta Valley, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Temecula Valley at 7:15 p.m. Temecula Valley knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Murrieta Valley likes a good challenge.
