Soccer Game Preview: Del Oro vs. East Bakersfield

The Del Oro Suns will take on the East Bakersfield Blades at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Oro's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Del Oro managed to keep up with Mira Monte until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Del Oro lost 4-0 to Mira Monte.

Meanwhile, East Bakersfield and West faced off in a cross-town battle on Friday. East Bakersfield's defense stepped up to hand West a 4-0 shutout. That looming 4-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blades yet this season.

They hit West with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Scarlett Celio-Mora (2), Dani Carrillo, and Britney Murrell.

The win made it two in a row for East Bakersfield and bumps their season record up to 3-10-2. As for Del Oro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-4.
