Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hebron Christian). They put the hurt on the Apalachee Wildcats with a sharp 18-5 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Lauren Kyranakis, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Jaycee Thornhill was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Hebron Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 16 consecutive matchups.
