Soccer Game Preview: Live Oak vs. Gilroy

The Live Oak Acorns will face off against the Gilroy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Live Oak fell victim to Branham and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bruins, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Acorns in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Gilroy also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Christopher by a score of 1-0 back in December of 2024. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Live Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Gilroy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
