Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Englewood). They breezed by the River City Science Academy Rockets to the tune of 73-31 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-50 back in December of 2024.

Englewood was led to victory by Antonio Riddle and Vincent Witherspoon. Riddle went 9 of 12 on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and three steals, while Witherspoon went 10 for 14 on his way to 22 points. Witherspoon has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Thomas Mitchell was another key player, putting up two points along with eight assists and seven steals.

Englewood pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for River City Science Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Englewood will host Beachside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for River City Science Academy, they will look to defend their home court on January 21st against Duval Charter at 7:15 p.m.
