The North Valley Christian Academy Lions will be playing at home against the Cicero Prep Academy Centurions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
North Valley Christian Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 43-25 bruising from Salome on Monday. North Valley Christian Academy has not had much luck with Salome recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite their defeat, North Valley Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chardonnay Pryce, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Abby Rice, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Meanwhile, Cicero Prep Academy had to suffer through a rough 54-3 loss at the hands of Rancho Solano Prep. Cicero Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
North Valley Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Cicero Prep Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
