Softball Recap: Enid Wins High-Profile Game Against Kingston

Enid faced Kingston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Plainsmen put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp 7-1 win. The Plainsmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Enid has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Kingston, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enid will welcome Eisenhower at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingston, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dickson at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th.
