Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

If Lakeside was riding high fresh off their 64-10 takedown of Santiago on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers were dealt a 42-13 defeat at the hands of the Kaiser Cats on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lancers have suffered since December 27, 2024.

Lakeside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ayla Vigneault, who posted four points in addition to ten boards and three steals. Sophia Simioli was another key player, putting up seven rebounds.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lakeside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 32-21 victory against Vista del Lago on the 21st. Kaiser has also already played their next contest (against Woodcrest Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
