Basketball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-24 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln High Links. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Discoverers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-32 two weeks ago.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lincoln High, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 33-24 loss against Lincoln Southeast on the 31st. Lincoln High has also already played their next contest, a 68-40 defeat against Lincoln Southwest on the 30th.
