Basketball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Takes a Loss

Canyon Crest Academy lost against Rancho Buena Vista back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens took a hard 76-59 fall against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Longhorns are ranked 201st).

It was another big night for CJ Aldrich, who dropped a double-double on 42 points and 16 rebounds for Rancho Buena Vista. That makes it six consecutive games in which Aldrich has scored at least a third of Rancho Buena Vista's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Keys, who posted 11 points.

Canyon Crest Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Canyon Crest Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-70 defeat against Poway on the 18th. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-25 victory against Orange Glen on the 18th.
