North Murray is 8-1 against Sonoraville since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The North Murray Mountaineers will venture away from home to take on the Sonoraville Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

North Murray fought the good fight in their overtime match against Ringgold on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Mountaineers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Sonoraville and Ringgold, and Ringgold kept the tradition alive. Sonoraville took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ringgold on Thursday.

North Murray's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Sonoraville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

North Murray took their win against Sonoraville when the teams last played back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Murray since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
