Rancho Buena Vista had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 64-52 win over the Carlsbad Lancers on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Lancers back in February, they had to take a 55-54 loss.

Rancho Buena Vista's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camille Dake, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Salzler, who posted 13 points and six boards.

Rancho Buena Vista is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. Carlsbad moved to 19-12 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As for Carlsbad, they will welcome Escondido Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Escondido Charter will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Carlsbad surely won't give up without a fight.
