Recap: Orcutt Academy Spartans vs. Nipomo Titans
The Orcutt Academy Spartans won the last time they faced the Nipomo Titans, and things went their way on Friday too. Orcutt Academy blew past Nipomo 51-22 on the road. Given Orcutt Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Nipomo is ranked 892nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Elizabeth Johnson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 25 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashley Barrientos, who scored ten points.
Orcutt Academy now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Nipomo, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-22.
