Soccer Recap: Clay Comes Up Short

Clay lost against Northview back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Clay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Northview are ranked 122nd).

Clay is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6-3. As for Northview, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clay will head out to take on Napoleon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northview, they will venture away from home to face off against Anthony Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
