Newcastle had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cache Bulldogs by a score of 5-1. This was a revenge game for the Racers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Thursday, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

Newcastle's victory bumped their record up to 21-4-1. As for Cache, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-15.
