Basketball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 52-42 to the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 565th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 165th).

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bayard Rustin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Oxford has already played their next contest (against Unionville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bayard Rustin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Academy Park at 12:15 p.m. on January 25th.
