Basketball Game Preview: Kehillah Rams vs. The Nueva School Mavericks

Kehillah hasn't had much luck against The Nueva School recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Kehillah Rams will take on The Nueva School Mavericks in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. at. The Nueva School took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Kehillah, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Kehillah humbled East Palo Alto Academy with a 47-4 victory. With the Rams ahead 36-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Kehillah found their leader in freshman Noga Kohavi, who posted 16 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adi Lerner, who put up eight points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, The Nueva School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by South San Francisco 58-28.

The victory made it two in a row for Kehillah and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for The Nueva School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Kehillah was dealt a bruising 56-19 defeat at the hands of The Nueva School in their previous meeting back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Kehillah was down 31-9.
