Baseball Recap: Stephenson Takes a Loss

Stephenson was the 10-7 winner over Riverdale when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Stephenson Jaguars fell just short of the Riverdale Raiders by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday.

Romando Craddock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-3. Stephenson is 4-1 when Craddock posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Fantroy, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Stephenson's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-7. As for Riverdale, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Coming up, Stephenson will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglass at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverdale, they are taking a road trip to take on Stone Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
