Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Badin

Badin waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Lakota East Thunderhawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since April 1st.

Beau Chaney looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chandler Taylor was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Sawyer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Badin's victory bumped their record up to 23-3-1. As for Lakota East, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8.

Badin and Lakota East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Rams (ranked fourth) will meet Talawanda (ranked 566th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lakota East will square off against Colerain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (47 vs. 479).
