Basketball Game Preview: Gahr Gladiators vs. Banning Pilots

The Gahr Gladiators will face off against the Banning Pilots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gahr heads in on the heels of a playoff match last Saturday. They fell just short of El Toro by a score of 36-34. The Gladiators' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Banning had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.1 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 57-36 margin over the Tigers. The Pilots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Gahr better keep an eye on Joshlyn Harris. She was instrumental in Banning's win, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Harris has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Ariel Gonzalez was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Banning's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Gahr, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-11.
