Soccer Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mission San Jose last Thursday, Washington came back down to earth. The Washington Huskies came up short against the American Eagles on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for American, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6-2 record this season.

Looking ahead, Washington will take on Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for American, they will challenge Irvington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. American is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.
