Soccer Game Preview: Half Moon Bay vs. South San Francisco

The Half Moon Bay Cougars will take on the South San Francisco Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Half Moon Bay's offense. They came up short against Carlmont on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Scots recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, South San Francisco was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 5-1 to San Mateo. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 849th, while the Bearcats are ranked 397th).

South San Francisco's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Half Moon Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-3.
