Victory Baptist and Hearts Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Victory Baptist had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-5. The Warrior's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Sawyer Kent led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Victory Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Hearts Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

As of now, neither Victory Baptist nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
