Football Recap: Becker Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Cloud Tech/St. John's Prep last Friday, Becker came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 30-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Totino-Grace Eagles on Friday. While the Bulldogs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Eagles 7-3.

Benjamin Bergan had an outrageously good game for Totino-Grace as he rushed for 125 yards and one score on only eight carries. Bergan's longest rush was for an incredible 98 yards.

Becker's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Totino-Grace, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Becker will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rocori at 7:00 p.m. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Totino-Grace, they will head out to take on Hutchinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
