Softball Recap: Bixby Takes a Loss

Bixby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Broken Arrow Tigers, falling 13-3. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Brynlee Hopkins made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season.

Bixby's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Broken Arrow, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coincidentally, Bixby and Broken Arrow will both be playing Muskogee the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Roughers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
