Festus won the last time they faced DeSoto and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Dragons 2-1. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

Jackson Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Festus' win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Schilly, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Festus and bumps their season record up to 22-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for DeSoto, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-18.

As of now, neither Festus nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
