Softball Recap: Mundy's Mill Has No Trouble Against Carver

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jonesboro, Mundy's Mill was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Carver Panthers as they made off with a 16-7 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Mundy's Mill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Carver, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mundy's Mill will take on Rockdale County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.69 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Carver, they will square off against Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
