            Softball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans vs. Vista Ridge Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Fountain-Fort Carson dropped to 9-8 on Tuesday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They lost  11-3 to the Vista Ridge Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-5  on Saturday.
 Fountain-Fort Carson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Naliyah Jordan, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
As for Vista Ridge, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games.
On Vista Ridge's side,  Kaysen Morgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Justine Laulu was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in August.  Aaliyah Garcia was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with three  stolen bases and four  runs.
 Coming up, Fountain-Fort Carson will face off against Pine Creek at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7  runs per game  this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Vista Ridge, they will challenge Rampart at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.59  runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
