Kingsland and Mabel-Canton are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2020, but not for long. The Knights will take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingsland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 30.3 points per game this season.

Kingsland will bounce into Friday's game after beating Wabasha-Kellogg, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Knights enjoyed a cozy 42-26 win over the Falcons on Friday. The Knights pushed the score to 34-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for Kaaleem Reiland, who rushed for 214 yards and three scores while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 66 yards and one TD. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 66 yards. Another player making a difference was Bently Wiersma, who rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Meanwhile, Mabel-Canton faced Spring Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars snuck past the Lions with a 26-20 victory. The Cougars' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Kingsland's record now sits at 5-1. As for Mabel-Canton, their record is now 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Kingsland against Mabel-Canton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 43-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
