Softball Recap: South Effingham's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

South Effingham waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Evans Knights as they made off with a 14-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cheniyah Jackson spent all four innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sydney Minshall was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Danni Lynn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

South Effingham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in four consecutive contests.

South Effingham's record is now 17-2. As for Evans, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

South Effingham will host Greenbrier at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Wolfpack have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. Evans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
