South Effingham waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Evans Knights as they made off with a 14-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Cheniyah Jackson spent all four innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Sydney Minshall was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Danni Lynn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
South Effingham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in four consecutive contests.
