Soccer Recap: Centennial Starts off Right with Win over Deming

Centennial had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Deming Wildcats a 5-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Centennial in their matchups with Deming: they've now won six in a row.

Centennial hit Deming with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Victor Rios (2), Andres Cardenas, Mario Salinas, and Tyler Ward.

Coming up, Centennial will square off against Carlsbad at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Deming, they will challenge Las Cruces at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
