Baseball Recap: Berrien Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Berrien's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Brantley County Herons on Friday. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Herons earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Berrien has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. Brantley County's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berrien will challenge Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cook will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Brantley County, they will square off against Worth County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Worth County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Brantley County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
