Softball Recap: Jenkins County Starts Season with Win at Home

Jenkins County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Jefferson County Warriors a 19-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the War Eagles in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jenkins County will take on Swainsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jefferson County, they will head out to challenge Washington County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
