Softball Recap: Grovetown's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Grovetown waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Duluth Wildcats as they made off with an 11-3 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.

Isabella Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Treasure Story was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Iman Wright was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Grovetown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Duluth only managed six.

Grovetown's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Duluth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-16.

Grovetown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
