Baseball Recap: Pineville Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Pineville and Ruston had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rebels took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 last Thursday.

Pineville's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Ruston, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Pineville will challenge Avoyelles Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ruston, they are taking a road trip to take on Parkway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
