Softball Recap: Monett Comes Up Short

Logan-Rogersville hit Monett with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cubs fell 6-2 to the Wildcats. If the Cubs were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monett's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Logan-Rogersville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Monett will head out on the road to take on Aurora at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Logan-Rogersville, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Plains at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
