Basketball Recap: North Star Takes a Loss

North Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shade Panthers. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Shade, with the victory, they broke their 28-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-9.

North Star will venture away from home to face off against Claysburg-Kimmel at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shade, they will host Ferndale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
