Salpointe Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sidney Anderson, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Anderson a new career-high in blocks (two). Hannah Williams was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Salpointe Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sahuaro only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mica Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 45-40 win over Ironwood Ridge on Thursday.

Mica Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Salpointe Catholic, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4.

Everything came up roses for Salpointe Catholic against Mica Mountain when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 72-30 victory. In that contest, Salpointe Catholic amassed a halftime lead of 44-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
