Baseball Recap: West Laurens Comes Up Short

The West Laurens Raiders came up short against the Washington County Golden Hawks on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Laurens' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Washington County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Laurens will host Bleckley County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bleckley County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so West Laurens' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Washington County, they will challenge Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
