Soccer Game Preview: Grant vs. Arleta

The Grant Lancers will head out to challenge the Arleta Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Grant is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Verdugo Hills on Monday. Grant lost 4-1 to Verdugo Hills. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 804th, while the Dons are ranked 352nd).

Meanwhile, Arleta earned a 3-1 win over Poly on Monday.

Grant's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Arleta, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Grant was able to grind out a solid victory over Arleta in their previous matchup back in January, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grant since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
