Soccer Recap: Georgia-Cumberland Academy Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Georgia-Cumberland Academy was not quite Johnson Ferry Christian Academy's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints by a score of 2-1. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Georgia-Cumberland Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2.

Coincidentally, Georgia-Cumberland Academy and Johnson Ferry Christian Academy will both be playing Pinecrest Academy the next time they take the pitch. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy will host Pinecrest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Georgia-Cumberland Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on March 26th.
