Basketball Recap: Las Plumas Takes a Loss

If Las Plumas was feeling good fresh off their 53-16 takedown of Corning last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds fell just short of the Orland Trojans by a score of 44-42 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Thunderbirds have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Las Plumas' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 17-8. As for Orland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Las Plumas nor Orland have any future games scheduled.
