Basketball Game Preview: Johnsonburg Rams vs. Ridgway Elker

The Johnsonburg Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Ridgway Elker at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnsonburg will be strutting in after a victory while Ridgway will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with 14 losses in a row dating back to last season, Johnsonburg turned things around against Smethport on Monday. They came out on top against the Hubbers by a score of 50-40. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against DuBois Central Catholic, falling 53-12. The game marked the Elker's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Johnsonburg's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Ridgway, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Johnsonburg took a serious blow against Ridgway in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 56-22. Can Johnsonburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
